MLA Jose Case filed against Jose Thettayil, son following sexual abuse plaint
KOCHI: A woman on Sunday filed a sexual abuse complaint against JD(S) leader and Angamali MLA Jose Thettayil and his son Adarsh with the Aluva police. Police have registered a case against the MLA, who was a minister in the last LDF government, and son on the basis of the woman's complaint.
Senior police officers later recorded the statement of the woman, who is staying in an apartment in Aluva. She has also produced certain video clippings to prove her case.
Police said the woman had alleged that the MLA had sexually abused her after getting friendly with her and used to frequent her apartment. She had also claimed that she was in a relationship with Adarsh, who is studying and working in England, whom she met at a function in 2010.

The woman was reportedly helping her father in his business. She alleged that the son first sexually abused her promising to marry her and the father later followed suit.
She had reportedly taken the video using a web cam. "We have registered a case and a probe is on," an officer said.
Meanwhile, Thettayil has rubbished the allegation, saying it is part of a conspiracy to malign him. Thettayil has reportedly said that the woman was known to him and alleged that she was an expert in morphing images in computer.
Reports quoted Thettayil as saying that the woman had earlier alleged that his son had impregnated her, but the allegation was proved wrong in medical tests. He said he would fight the case legally and rubbished the woman's claim that her marriage was fixed with his son.
